Social research through photography.

Zahara Gómez Lucini

From an Argentinian family, born in Spain, grown in France, and currently living in Mexico. I investigate social themes through the eye of photography.

I explore political and social violence stories that traverse the territories. For that purpose I use archival research, I collaborate with human rights organization and fieldwork searching areas for disappeared people, to investigate what in my eyes is unacceptable and is vindicated through the reconstruction of the collective memory.

I look for social change tools through photography and multidisciplinary formats. These themes are, as well, are a positioning in relation to social reality and the constant search to link its relation with art.

I teach classes in different institutions: F64 School, Centro ADM, Gimnasio del Arte and Centro de la Imagen.

I’m an active member of Foto Feminas and Women photograph.

I’m also an intern at the Emergency Fund of National Geographic Society (2020) and National Geographic explorer since 2022 (2019-2020).
